Excitation System

Generator excitation system is a collective term for the power supply and its auxiliary equipment that supply excitation current to the synchronous generator. It is one of the critical control system of the power plant. Its performance directly affects the safe production of power plant and the reliable operation of power grid.

CEI has been engaged in the R&D and manufacturing of excitation system since 1971. It is one of the earliest domestic manufacturers of synchronous motor excitation system and one of the largest professional manufacturers of excitation system in China. So far CEI has provided system equipment and technical services for more than 4,000 sets of generator units in more than 2,000 power plants (stations) domestic and abroad, covering over 40 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.

    Excitation systems cover all hydro-generator sets, pumped-storage sets, steam turbine generator sets and synchronous motor sets with capacity of 0.5~1000MW. We are a manufacturer with comprehensive capability in China.

    With an annual production capacity of 400 sets of excitation systems/2000 excitation cubicles, we are a domestic manufacturer of excitation systems with large production capacity.
