From November 19 to 20, ATLAS/CEI Asia Seminar for Durability of Photovoltaic jointly held by CEI State Key Laboratory of Environmental Adaptability for Industrial Products (“SKL” for short) and ATLAS Materials Testing Solutions was held in Shanghai.
The Seminar took the theme of environmental durability of photovoltaic products. Top experts on photovoltaic from organizations such as Fraunhofer Institute, Germany; NREL, U.S.A.; TÜV Rheinland; NIST, UL, VDE, Sun Yat-sen University; FITI Testing and Research Institute, R.K. and ITRI, Taiwan were invited to give keynote reports, covering environmental durability of photovoltaic products, material performance research, service life test and estimation technology as well as the latest measuring method of “qualification plus” for photovoltaic products. More than 100 attending representatives and technical exports from producers of photovoltaic modules, material suppliers, scientific organizations and institutions of higher learning had interactions and exchanges.
At present, the photovoltaic industry in China is developing rapidly. The environmental durability of photovoltaic products has become a very prominent and unavoidable problem in this industry. The Seminar had relatively high reference value for groups researching global aging, which greatly inspires the development path for domestic enterprises in the future.
In recent years, SKL has been focusing on research on environmental durability of photovoltaic products, carrying out cooperation and exchanges with international advanced organizations, actively building the technical service platform for photovoltaic durability and advancing the implementation of technical solutions of photovoltaic durability.
