From November 27 to 28, Zhang Xiaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CEI), led a delegation to Yanitang Village, Shiling Town, Lianjiang City for research and guidance on poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

The research activity was attended by Chen Chuanhao, Deputy General Manager of CEI, Zhang Qing, Chairman of the Labor Union of CEI, Xu Zhenyang, Director of the Comprehensive Management Department (Party Committee Work Department) of CEI, as well as Liu Feng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of Lianjiang Agriculture and Rural Bureau and Director of Lianjiang Poverty Alleviation Office, and leaders of Shiling Town, Lianjiang City.

During this event, Pang Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Lianjiang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Lianjiang, met and warmly welcomed Zhang Xiaobin and his delegation in the Lianjiang High-tech Development Zone. Mayor Pang holds that CEI has not only carried out fixed-point poverty alleviation in Lianjiang, but has also provided professional technical services here. He added that these efforts have driven the prosperity of small home appliance industry in Lianjiang and vigorously supported the high-quality economic development of Lianjiang. Mayor Pang introduced to Zhang Xiaobin and his delegation in detail the overall layout and construction of the Lianjiang public service platform for small home appliances. Then, they went together to inspect the construction site of the base of Vkan Zhanjiang branch.

Zhang Xiaobin and his delegation watched the reporting film, CEI’s Achievements in Assistance over Past Five Years, at the Party and Mass Service Center of Yanitang Village. Then they inspected the photovoltaic power generation project, pig breeding poverty alleviation base, dragon fruit poverty alleviation base, and “OVOP” Cherry Tomato Poverty Alleviation Base in Yanitang Village, as well as Shangdong Natural Village, the demonstration village of new rural construction. Zhang Xiaobin and his delegation also visited the impoverished households to fully understand the poverty alleviation progress and achievements.

Zhang Xiaobin fully affirmed the poverty alleviation results made by the Yanitang Village Committee and the Work Team Stationed in the Village. He deems that with the significantly changing village appearance and the constantly growing collective economy and characteristic poverty alleviation industries, the impoverished households have been experiencing constant improvements in mental outlook and living conditions and quality, and decisive progress has been made in poverty alleviation. Zhang Xiaobin emphasized that currently, amid the tight deadline for the arduous work of poverty alleviation, it is necessary to take poverty alleviation as a major political task calling for firm and solid efforts. Zhang urged that the Work Team Stationed in the Village should work to complete the fixed-point assistance work on schedule and well prepare for the provincial assessment on poverty alleviation results.
